Have you ever walked the streets of your neighborhood at night? Odds are, you probably ran into an orb-eyed critter scurrying in the shadows and skittering out of your way. Did you lock eyes with the guy? Was he the scaggiest, most adorable little fur goblin your've ever seen? Ahh, it appears you've encountered a real life opossum. As they rifle through the garbage, arch their backs and hiss, and scuttle into the darkness, it's hard not to relate with them. Raccoons, skunks, and opossums alike are more human than most people would care to admit. In fact, I think that these street critters are probably the most relatable of all the land mammals. They shrink away from the sun. They gobble down trash food. They have dark circles under their eyes. They reject humanity and the daylight hours. Am I being personally attacked here?
